Your role and responsibilities

Implement effective sourcing strategies in line with the Continuous Improvement Process Sourcing process and business strategy, ensuring that suppliers can meet current and future business requirements, as well as ensuring that all relevant parties grasp strategies and execute processes accordingly.
Manage the planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending and savings forecasts.
Buy in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and company guidelines in order to minimize quality and financial risks.
Negotiate with main suppliers, and periodically renew price lists, terms and conditions.
Adapt corporate contractual frameworks to local business needs, and recommend frame agreements to management and execute them, as well as provide oversight and contract management with suppliers.
Choose appropriate suppliers (focusing on quality, delivery, cost and sustainability) in accordance with company policies.
Define and establish local standard agreements with all major suppliers, while providing and maintaining standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with company directives and guidelines.
Designing and implementing costout programs and/or processes to reach financial targets
Contribute to and participate in setting and implementing budget and targets within the framework, and ensuring that sourcing performance targets are achieved.

Qualifications for the role

  • Bachelor's Degree in Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Business Administration or related.
  • 3 years of experience in Procurement.
  • Advanced level of English is a must.
  • Experience dealing and negotiation with Suppliers located around the world.
  • Knowledge of MS Office with an advanced level of Excel.
  • Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
  • A solutionfocused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
