What will you do

Under general direction, acts as the on-site project leader to plan, implement, and complete fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion alarm and intercom system projects with assigned customers. Performs or delegates tasks as required implement and fully complete assigned projects including: hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, system and network commissioning and project closeout. Responsible for the overall financial results of assigned projects including: costs, project billings, and collections. Maintains an effective balance between customer satisfaction and project financial results. Actively pursues selling change orders. Coordinates communication with the customer during all phases of the project. Ensures proper execution of warranty. Provides work direction to subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, designers, and administration as necessary. Ensures work performed is in compliance with state, local and Federal legal requirements and operates on the job with the highest of ethics. Adheres and ensures Johnson Controls staff and subcontractors adhere to all safety standards.

What we look for

Required

  • 5+ years' experience with installation and service of fire alarm, access control, CCTV, intrusion and intercom systems

  • Demonstrate working knowledge of electricity and electronics In addition, demonstrate the skills for solving systems issues and performing necessary repairs

  • Ability to effectively work independently

  • Demonstrate a high level of customer service

  • Be able to carry and move equipment/tools weighing up to 40 pounds

  • Minimum high school/trade school graduate, military, or two year Associate degree in a technical field involving electronics or computers

  • Working knowledge of personal computers (Windows Server, Windows 7, 10, 11) and Microsoft's suite of Office software

  • Working knowledge of IT network systems

  • Ability to use hand and power tools and test equipment such as multi-meters, oscilloscopes, digital analyzers, battery analyzers, frequency meters, decibel meters and communication devices as required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to read and understand complex building architectural, mechanical and electrical documents, as well as project plans, specifications, schedules and equipment installation/operation/solving manual.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of project accounting, costing principals and contracting

  • NICET certification

  • Fire Alarm experience/certification with Notifier preferred.

  • Security experience/certification with P2000, Lenel or C-Cure 9000
