About the Role

In this role you will collaborate with key Harman stakeholders across multiple business units and regions, which include Finance, Accounting, business process subject matter experts, as well as Digital teams in order to help prioritize, evaluate, and align priorities to implement technology solutions in support of HARMAN's strategic initiatives. You will perform detailed requirement analysis, document business processes, and identify optimization opportunities across Harman in the Finance and Accounting area using SAP Applications.

What You Will Do

  • Lead process requirements of accounting and finance processes to document current state ("as is")

  • Lead workshops/interviews with stakeholders to obtain business requirements and "wish list" for the future state ("to be")

  • Complete gap analyses between the "as is" and the "to be" state

  • Collaborate with Digital team to ensure that business requirements are being met

  • Along with Digital and business team, complete feasibility assessment of proposed solutions

  • Work with Finance and Accounting subject matter experts (SME's) to create future state processes and procedures to generate efficiencies / effectiveness

  • Gather, analyze, and define end user training requirements for impacted user groups in accordance with business objectives and coordinate development and delivery of end user training and post implementation support

  • Conduct benchmarking studies and analyze industry research data to identify best practices solutions (systems, processes, policies) to close the gap

  • After implementation, support Finance and Accounting teams with developing key performance indicators (KPI's) to validate that the expected cost savings have materialized

  • Working with Finance and Accounting teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvements and work with the business and Digital to implement them

    What You Need

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ Years professional work experience

  • Experience in Accounting, Finance, and/or Shared Services organization

  • Experience with one or more SAP modules (SD, FI, CO, AP), ECC and/or S4/HANA

  • Ability to work in a global matrixed organization and communicate at all levels

  • Analytical and problem solving skills

  • Proficiency in managing projects and developing project schedules

  • Advanced writing skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to create and deliver compelling communications and on-going training initiatives to build and grow essential knowledge and enhance user adoption

  • Expert knowledge of the following computer tools and systems: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

What is Nice to Have

  • Six Sigma, Operational Excellence certification, or transformational project experience

  • PMP Certification

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 10%, domestic and international travel

  • Be willing to work in an office in Novi Michigan OR This role is eligible to work remotely full-time with occasional trips into the Novi office location required (this could be on 24-hour notice)

  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment
