POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Financial Analyst will join a small, collaborative team and will be involved in a variety of tasks that support financial analysis and reporting including assistance with budgeting, forecasting, monthly financial reporting/KPIs, ad hoc analysis and general accounting/compliance. The position requires a high level of accountability, flexibility, teamwork and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong communication skills who works effectively with internal business partners, is deadline oriented and thrives in a fast paced environment. Qualified candidates work with a sense of urgency, have experience researching and resolving issues and a desire to grow with the position and changes in the business.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Assist in the preparation of financial budgets, forecasts, supporting reports and KPIs to effectively report, track progress and communicate financial status across the organization.
Assist in creation and enhancement of financial tools, models and reporting to enhance financial performance and aid in identification and analysis of trends and issues affecting the business and its investments.
Support department managers outside of finance through gross margin analysis, operational expense management and interpretation of departmental P&L statements
Intermediate to Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (examples include lookups, pivot tables, advanced sorting and filtering, external references, etc.)
Ability to analyze and reconcile accounts with a high volume of data
Ability to research and resolve errors
Ability to effectively prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced environment

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting or similar program
CPA or MBA preferred, but not required
4+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
SYSTEM QUALIFICATIONS
Must have experience working with general ledger software and ability to learn new software applications quickly
Working knowledge of NetSuite, NSAW, Adaptive is a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Ability to use a computer long periods of time
Ability to sit for long periods of time
Hours may exceed 8 hours/day and/or 40 hours per week
This role is based out of our Portland, OR office, with future potential for a hybrid schedule
