Summary/Objective:

Responsible for learning to produce a product that meets LCI quality standards at a pace that meets customer demands. Responsible for adhering to LCI core values, safety guidelines, and lean initiatives.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High school diploma
  2. Ability to read blueprints
  3. Ability to read and use a measuring tape

Essential Functions:

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  1. Physically weld parts together. Check own work. Meets LCI quality standards.
  2. Ability to read prints, build sub-assemblies slide outs, slide heads, Room bar, production flow, check placement of parts, measuring and marking product.
  3. Loading jig, moving parts
  4. Conduct basic operator maintenance on feeders, welding gun, and plasma.

Competencies:

  1. Must be able to work as a part of a team to achieve the company's overall goals;
  2. Must demonstrate clear verbal and written communication skills (English);
  3. Must be able to read and process written communication including, but not limited to measurements, directions, instructions, etc.;
  4. Must be able to help production meet goals and time deadlines for company projects;
  5. Must be able to work with minimum supervision;
  6. Must possess successful problem solving skills;
  7. Must be able to exhibit tact and diplomacy and maintain professional relationships with supervisors, fellow employees, customers, etc.;
  8. Must be able to work under physically and mentally stressful situations;
  9. Must be able to prioritize and easily adapt to changes through the day.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This role does not have any supervisory responsibility upon hiring.

Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires 98% standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing ladders. The employee may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position.

Travel:

No travel is expected for this position.
