ABOUT THE POSITION

As the North America Accounting Manager, you will lead a small team responsible for SG&A accounting, including capital assets accounting, payroll accounting and marketing accounting.

HOWYOU'LLMAKE A DIFFERENCE
  • Manage the month-end close process requiring leadership and coordination within your team and across Finance groups (FP&A, Corporate Accounting, Retail Accounting, Tax)

  • Review accurate and timely journal entries, account reconciliations, and internal and external financial reporting

  • Maintain and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, the Company's accounting policies and internal controls best practices

  • Provide fluctuation, budgeting and other ad hoc analysis to Financial Planning & Analysis, Finance leadership and business partners

  • Lead or actively engage in projects or initiatives that deliver on strategic goals of the corporation and Finance function

  • Develop and implement creative process improvements and best-known practices. Foster a culture of continuous improvement with your team and peers to simplify current processes

  • Provide accounting leadership and consultation to your team and cross-functional colleagues on a variety of topics including capital assets, cash, payroll & compensation, and demand creation

  • Interaction and engagement with internal and external auditors on SOX and financial statement audit activities

  • Analytical, forming relevant conclusions, and effectively communicating the results and conclusions

YOUHAVE
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience; Public accounting experience preferred

  • 2+ years managing direct reports, including seniors, staff accountants, and hourly staff with demonstrated staff development through performance management, goal setting, training, and maintaining strong relationships

  • Strong business acumen, with proven accounting skills in terms of GAAP and best practice financial controls and reporting.

  • Proven ability to work globally with Shared Services teammates in other regions

  • Applied knowledge of SAP strongly preferred; Data analysis and reporting experience with Cognos TM1, PowerBI, and advanced Excel skills a plus
