ATI is seeking a Maintenance Senior Leader to join our team in our Albany, Oregon facility. Albany Operations specializes in melting Titanium and Titanium Alloys to produce ingots for use in multiple applications in the Aerospace & Defense, Medical, and other markets. This is a day shift position and typically works Monday through Friday with some flexibility on hours. You will report to the Senior Operations Manager. The Maintenance Senior Leader will be responsible for maintaining critical equipment, strategic planning, and coordination and supervision of maintenance support functions and staff including leaders, millwrights, electricians, welders, and multi-craft maintenance personnel. Additionally, this position assists the Senior Operations Manager in department budget management and development of cost justifications as well as oversight and technical direction of all related repairs, replacements, rebuilds, modifications, and preventive and predictive maintenance associated with capital projects, major maintenance, and routine maintenance activities.

A successful Senior Maintenance Leader will quickly grasp manufacturing and maintenance practices, take ownership of the department, and take responsibility for the strategic vision and maintenance development plan. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with diverse personalities, strong interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain harmonious working relationships in a dynamic environment, and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives are included in the skillset of a successful Senior Maintenance Leader.

Specifically, the Maintenance Senior Leader will:

  • Manage concurrent maintenance activities to effectively maintain industrial manufacturing equipment and facilities.
  • Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate Operations Support Management plans.
  • Develop departmental and team goals, objectives, and procedures.
  • Manage daily shift schedule to complete preventive maintenance activities and prioritize break-in work according to established critical equipment list.
  • Develop and implement a Reliability Centered Maintenance program with a focus on Condition-Based Monitoring and Predictive technologies.
  • Develop a team to capture data recording for equipment downtime and failure analysis.
  • Analyze collected data to inform and adjust predictive maintenance reliability activities.
  • Perform administrative duties such as managing time and attendance, leading monthly crew safety meetings, and conducting behavior-based safety observations.
  • Coordinate Maintenance and Engineering resources to successfully execute Capital Projects.
  • Provide employee counseling, participate in conflict resolution, and provide disciplinary and corrective action plans for employees as necessary.
  • Work with supervised employees to create a team environment and develop training plans to improve employee skills.
  • Evaluate the performance of maintenance leaders and assist in planning for performance improvement.
  • Ensure all supervised employees meet annual safety training requirements, complete continuing education for licensing, and adhere to all government regulations as well as Company policies and procedures.
  • Manage special projects as directed.
  • Develop, mentor, educate, and guide leaders and crew in proper maintenance direction.


Basic Qualifications

  • Degree or license in maintenance-related craft, i.e. electrician, millwright etc.
  • At least 5 years of maintenance experience.
  • At least 3 years of formal leadership experience.

Preferences

  • Degree in Engineering or a Maintenance-related discipline.
  • At least 2 years of experience utilizing computerized maintenance management systems and software.
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing practices and continuous improvement concepts.
  • Proficiency of Microsoft Office Software Suite, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Skills and Abilities

  • Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team-oriented management environment.
  • Ability to plan, assign and monitor work, motivate and coach staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
