POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is in the Operation's Probes Quality Department Incoming Inspection providing Incoming Inspection services to Quality, Production and Engineering departments. This position will report to the Product Quality Manager and will require the individual to work with various quality, engineering, purchasing, and production and management personnel on a daily basis. This position will have limited supervised external contact when necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Incoming Inspection (70%)
  • Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, electrical symbols, or formulas and confers with management or engineering staff to determine appropriate quality and reliability standards.
  • Create and follow sampling plans to verify product conformity.
  • Manages Calibration of Tools used in the IQC department.
  • Documents processes and procedures relating to quality inspections and train technicians on these documents when required.
  • Works with management, purchasing and suppliers to manage and track vendor performance.
  • Selects products for tests at specified stages in production process through the use of quality audits.
  • Tests products for a variety of qualities such as dimensions and performance
  • Verifies appropriate test methods and equipment calibration range, capability, etc.
  • Records test data, applying good laboratory practices and quality control procedures.
  • Works with Material Review Board on discrepant material dispositions
  • Solid knowledge of fundamental inspection concepts, practices and procedures of Quality Control testing
  • Knowledge of Oracle for incoming inspection
  • Knowledge of DMR process for discrepant material
  • Cross-trained in RMA process to assist when needed.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Must have previous experience quality inspecting.
  • Must be able to use calipers, micrometers, drop indicators, force gages, SmartScope, etc.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic math, metrology and Good Laboratory Practices
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure documents, and manuals.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and product specifications.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Access, SolidWorks is a plus as well as Oracle.
  • Able to manage time and resources well.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience will be considered.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position is split between an office setting and a clean room environment that will require the wearing of protective clothing such as a bunny suit and goggles. Candidates must be able to understand and follow safety procedures. The position requires the candidates to work at a computer, microscope, or laboratory instrument for extended periods of time. Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds is required, with occasional bending, stooping. On-call support of manufacturing during off-shifts is required. Occasional (5% or less) travel may be required. Reasonable accommodations will be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Candidates must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen. This position located at the Gemini Factory in Quality Incoming Inspection. Limited Travel for training and or external equipment related to analysis may be required.
The pay range for this role in Beaverton, OR is between $26.30 and $34.54. The pay range may differ in other locations. FormFactor maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in education, training, skills, relevant work experience, business needs and market demands. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
