Job Description and Requirements

As a Technical Program Management Director in the Systems Design Group (SDG) you will coordinate activities on behalf of strategic customers to help them succeed with our Hardware Assisted Verification (HAV) products and, as a byproduct, grow our HAV business. You will complement the work of our Applications Engineering teams, driving needed improvements while those teams focus more on day-to-day customer support requirements.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates with Applications and customer management to align on key objectives, milestones, and resource needs.
  • Builds plans, maps out dependencies, actively mitigates risks, and manages execution.
  • Develops trusting relationships with both customers and Synopsys teams based on technical aptitude & accountability and leverages those relationships to drive initiatives.
  • Leads by influence, motivating extended team members that are not direct reports to hit necessary goals within expected timelines.
  • Escalates key issues as appropriate, balancing between judicious use of valuable engineering resources and pressing customer needs.
  • Provides regular updates to both Synopsys and customer management across multiple levels - from Engineering managers to VPs.
  • Proliferates best practices across Applications teams, regarding how best to help our most advanced customers solve their emerging problems.
Requirements:
  • BS/MS in EE with 10+ years of experience in HW validation, preferably in HW emulation or FPGA prototyping areas.
  • Ability to learn quickly, ramp-up on new technical areas.
  • Accomplished multi-tasker. Excellent organizational skills, able to turn abstract priorities into actionable plans.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a matrix role, using persuasion & logic to incent action; the ideal candidate has team leadership or management experience.
  • Accomplished listener. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to negotiate and find middle ground during deep technical discussions.
  • Capable of commanding respect of technologists, influencing their thinking.
  • Proven customer-service ethic, in dealing both with external and internal customers.
  • Team player focused more on team success - picks up dropped balls, helps others.
  • Self-motivated, passionate person, with both a desire to grow and the dedication to succeed.
  • Track record of personal integrity, successful at cultivating long-term relationships.

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $184,000-$276,000.00 In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses. The actual compensation offered will be based on a number of job-related factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.
