Job Description

*SHIFT: Grave - Monday to Friday, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM

Position Summary: Packages products manually. Performs basic quality control checks, including accurate packaging, package counts, and weight, and evaluates product or package appearance. Folds and tapes box(es), applies labels, and stacks boxes on pallets according to direction. Places product online into in conveying systems and supports machine operators with basic material replenishments at machines.

Safety:

* Follows the standard operating procedures

* Wears all proper PPE to include uniform/smocks, proper footwear, gloves, goggles/eye protection, hearing protection, hairnets, and masks

* Expected to follow all company safety protocols

* Expected to fully engage in all safety programs

Quality:

* Performs basic quality control checks, including accurate packaging, package counts, dates, and weight, and evaluates product or package appearance

* Complies with all good manufacturing practices

Production:

* Prepares for and packages products manually

* Folds and tapes box(es), applies labels, and stacks boxes on pallets according to direction

* Cleaning of area and sorting of materials as directed by leadership and operators

* Moves pallets safely to finished goods storage.

* Loads product and materials on the lines to support machine operators

* Workers may use bar code readers or computer devices to track production efficiencies

* Basic troubleshooting and able to escalate problems to leadership

* Understands the importance of DaMaWay and utilizes available tools and systems to proactively maintain their workspace

* Ensure adherence to plant standards (including but not limited to GMP, AIB, FDA, DaMaWay, Quality, Safety, Finance, ISO, CODES, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE). As a fundamental piece of the organization, your responsibility is to participate and own the implementation and deployment of DaMaWay system and its pillars (Leadership foundation, Daily Direction Setting, Driving OE; Autonomous Maintenance; planned Maintenance; Focused Improvement; Education and Training; Environmental, Health and Safety; Quality; Organization; Supply Network; Early Equipment Management) with the objective of owning your space, owning your performance (Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Mobilization, Nature) and owning your continuous improvement.


  • High School diploma or GED equivalent is required, some college preferred.
  • Prefer 6 months of successful work experience that involves accuracy, dependability, and teamwork, ideally in food production.
  • Basic computer skills (Keyboarding, email, data entry)
  • High mechanical aptitude is preferred, as promotional opportunities typically rely on a strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Certified with pallet jack and forklift if position requires
