Staff Accountant

Additional Position Details: FTE: 1.0 | Full Time | 1st Shift - Days

This is a hybrid onsite/work from home position requiring the capability of coming in for regular meetings, participating in team building activities, etc.

Position Summary

The Staff Accountant with Asante maintains the hospital General Ledger system and reconciles with ancillary systems and account balances. Also performs key duties ( Super User ) in maintaining functionality of the General Ledger software system; and provides financial information to internal and external users of financial information.

As a Staff Accountant for Asante, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Receive and organize incoming documents and requests for information to ensure timely and complete recording of financial transactions.
  • Process source documents and system-generated data used in recording financial transactions to ensure that accurate financial information and reports are available to internal and external users in a timely manner.
  • Review account balances and reconcile to system-generated data or other supporting documentation to support reliance on financial information and reports.
  • Serve as a resource for financial information and assist with internal/external reporting processes to ensure accurate interpretation of data and efficient communication of financial results.
  • Perform General Ledger functions to support and promote quality customer service.
Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, preferred.

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in full charge bookkeeping is required.
  • Experience in a health care environment; query or programming experience; MS software experience; experience with complex bank reconciliations, is preferred.
