We are hiring for a Full Time Grain Admin Specialist III to work onsite at our location in Umatilla, OR.

JOB SUMMARY

The Grain Admin Specialist III is responsible for computing, classifying, and recording financial transactions to ensure the financial records of the organization are accurate. Under minimal supervision, this position assists customers with grain contracts and processes settlements as needed. The Grain Admin Specialist III provides administrative support for the Elevator, as needed, to ensure the operation runs smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • An associate degree in Accounting is preferred but equivalent work experience and education will be considered.
  • 5 to 7 years of progressively responsible experience in an accounting function, primarily focused on account reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Proficient with use of accounting software programs, primarily the query and reporting. Able to write reports as needed.
  • Possesses strong analytical abilities and problem-solving techniques.
  • Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills and can proficiently prioritize daily job duties and deadlines.
  • Proven interpersonal skills; must support a team-oriented and inclusive approach with a high level of integrity and reliability.
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with employees and customers.
  • Demonstrates high attention to detail, ability to multi-task and ability to re-prioritize as needed.
  • Ability to understand and follow all safety guidelines.

Physical Demands and Requirements:

  • Position primarily operates in an office setting.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas in English by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to customers, public, and convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Must be computer literate with proven ability in the use of spreadsheets, database, and word processing software applications within a Windows-based operating environment. Requires the ability to read, write, and comprehend written and oral operational and safety instructions and related rules, policies, and memo, and communicate clearly with your coworkers and supervisors.
  • Must be able to make decisions, work independently, and be detail oriented.
  • Must have vision that permits close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
