JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an ambitious and talented Safety Support Coordinator to join our team! This position would support crews from all divisions, conduct daily Site Inspections, ensure safety expectations are being followed, assist in investigating incidents, and act as a liaison between the field and operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma
  • 1-3 years' experience in construction safety or manufacturing industry
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • OSHA or MSCHA training and experience
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Understanding federal, state and city safety requirements, including OSHA.
  • Requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks at hand.
  • Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications, while paying attention to detail.
  • Leadership skills. Ability to motivate a team and provide feedback.
  • Must maintain confidentiality and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performing Site Inspections.
  • Make sure Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Fire Resistant (FR) Clothing is stocked in remote yards.;
    • Assist with FR delivery as needed.
  • Assist with Onsite Investigations (Injury incidents, General Liability claims, Motor Vehicle claims).
    • Assist to further implement our damage prevention program.
    • Gather photos and onsite information for claims reporting (Assist with Executive Event Review (EER) investigations and documentation as needed).
  • Field Related Support
    • Gas Testers (Calibration, repair, etc.).
    • IT Hardware support
  • Information Technology (IT) Interface
    • Assist IT and Safety Director to troubleshoot and develop our technology programs and devices from the field to the office.
    • Assist with SiteDocs issues from a field level.
    • Telematics support, Q&A and trouble shooting.
  • Assist with Compliance/Training as directed by the Safety Director and Operations
    • Assist in the set up and delivery of training.
      • Operational trainings and issues as they arise.
      • Quarterly Stand-ups.
      • Annual Safety Summits.
    • Based upon Site Inspections, report to supervisor to identify safety training that should be provided.
      • Working with the shop and Management to troubleshoot issues in the field.
    • Participate in Safety Committee
    • Limited travel outside of LCC's current service area.
    • Flexible in hours to be worked. Night shift coverage may be needed at times.
    • Monitors compliance of various internal and external programs, projects, and policies.
    • Perform additional assignments as requested by supervisor.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
  • Required to maintain a valid driver's license.
  • May be Subject to the Company's DOT Substance Abuse Testing Program.
  • May be required to complete safety training periodically.
  • Local job site travel required.
