Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

During work may use hand grinders, saws and drill presses, and welders. Having robo-welding is a plus in this fast-paced work environment. The fabricator may be operating hand and power tools, measuring instruments, and lift trucks within production operations. Prior press brake experience required. Operation is routine and repetitive and involves loading and tending parts, or performing one-step operations. May make simple machine adjustments. Must have a mechanical aptitude and an enthusiasm for learning a variety of skills.

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Six months' press brake, laser punch and drill press experience required
  • Six months' manufacturing experience grinding, welding and/or Fabrication work preferred
  • Experience in Robo Welding would be an asset
  • Blueprint and gauge reading experience required
  • Prefer previous production experience in a manufacturing or machining environment
  • May be continuously standing, repetitively grasping and repetitively using fine manipulation with the hands
  • May be frequently required to walk, bend, squat or twist as well as repetitively push or pull
  • Must be able to frequently lift up to 40 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds

Language Skills:

Ability to read, write, verbalize and comprehend instructions and correspondence in English. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to customers, clients, and other team members. Conflict resolution skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and customer service skills.

Physical and Visual Activities:

Standing, Walking, Sitting, Lifting, Carrying, Balancing, Stooping, Reaching, Handling, Feeling, Talking, Hearing, Acuity-Far, Acuity-Near, Depth Perception, and Field of Vision.

Physical Demands:

Requires standing and walking 8 hours a day.

Environment/Atmospheric Conditions:

In an environment where that will be exposed to loud operating machinery, cold temperatures, chemicals, and vapors.
