The Portland International Airport, PDX, is often the first impression people have of Oregon, SW Washington, and the great City of Portland. From ground power units to airfield lighting, the PDX Maintenance Electricians keep the lights on at PDX. The Successful candidate will maintain the electrical supply throughout the airport by replacing and repairing when needed. This includes maintaining the lighting on the airfields!
NOTE: If you are a Journeyman Electrician licensed in Washington, Arkansas, Idaho, Maine, Montana, Utah, or Wyoming please let us know when you submit your application. The State of Oregon will grant reciprocity from these six states and you may qualify for a reciprocal license. If selected for this position, the Port of Portland will cover the cost of your reciprocal license application fee.
Hours are set by seniority shift bid per the labor agreement. Shifts may include one weekend day; the successful candidate must be available to work a set day, swing, or graveyard shift.
The Portland International Airport is a big place, and this job helps maintain the electrical supply throughout the Airport which covers a variety of systems and equipment. If you enjoy troubleshooting issues, and performing repairs, calibrations, and working on replacements then there's a lot to choose from.
