Location: Portland, OR

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Technical Lead along to join our team!

This lead role works closely with our Cloud Operations team and is responsible, Infrastructure Uptime, Cloud Security, Cost savings and improving the quality of software releases and deployments through automation and tool enhancements.

To be a successful Cloud Operations team lead, you typically need a good mix of technical and leadership skills. You should have a solid understanding of cloud computing technologies, as well as experience with cloud-based infrastructure, platform, and software services. Additionally, you should have experience leading and managing teams, and be able to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Cloud Technical LeadDeep understanding of Application, Infrastructure and security architecture and non-functional aspects like Performance, Scalability, Reliability, Availability,... all the so-called "capabilities" of a system

  • Provides formal and informal coaching on-the-job to grow team members to their full potential. Mentors junior members of the team and reviews their work, acting as a best practice/quality resource

  • Can lead a diverse group of project stakeholders and members toward the successful delivery of a project.

  • Understanding of the latest cloud computing and data technologies, business drivers, emerging computing trends, and deployment options.

  • Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adoption process.

  • Identifying and implementing automation tools

  • Monitoring tasks within the cloud structure

  • Creating and maintaining documentation

  • Supporting the implementation of security standards

  • Communicating with clients to understand their needs

  • Respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner

(Windows)

  • Knowledge of Active Directory, DNS DHCP, and GPO

  • Knowledge of configuring, managing, and troubleshooting IIS and other Web applications.

  • Improve service availability and performance by continuously fine-tuning the systems by applying patches/updates, and executing and monitoring the maintenance jobs.

  • Proficiency in scripting (Powershell)

  • Must have strong troubleshooting skills and a passion for problem-solving and investigation.

  • Analytical skills to prioritize relevant points of consideration and determine the best course of action.

(Azure)

  • Azure subscription management & Implementing Azure multi-factor authentication

  • Knowledge of Azure Blob storage, Managing Azure VNET & Monitoring resources and workloads in azure.

  • Implement solutions that use virtual machines (VM)

  • Implement batch jobs by using Azure Batch Services

  • Good knowledge of Azure virtual machines (Deploy, Configure and Backup).

  • Experience in Software and Patch management, Monitor system performance, VPN management.

  • Experience with Azure is a must, Web hosting, DNS Management, and Virtual Hosting.

  • Good Knowledge of Azure automation and Azure Site Recovery.

  • Basic knowledge of Azure security service offering and implementing best practices.

(AWS-optional)

  • Experience using AWS Cloud platform

  • Maintaining the built web environments on AWS, which includes working with services like EC2, ELB, RDS, VPC and S3

  • Maintaining cloud-native Infrastructure/Application.

  • A reasonable background in AWS/Windows and Windows server system administration in AWS environment

  • Exposure to using DevOps tools in an AWS cloud environment (If any)

  • Experience in troubleshooting AWS launched environments and monitor system performances

  • Basic knowledge in AWS security service offering and implementing best practices.

(DevOps/Tools)

  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing infrastructure with Terraform

  • Experience with Bitbucket, GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, and deploying applications on Azure/ AWS

  • Infrastructure and Application monitoring across production & non-production platforms.

  • Identifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk management

  • Experience with container orchestration platforms Kubernetes, Azure AKS, Amazon ECS

  • Ability to learn/use a wide variety of open-source technologies and SaaS tool

  • Managing logs and monitoring with any analytics tools.

  • Basic understanding of any ticketing system with ITIL process.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of DevOps/SRE experience.

  • 5+ years of Azure cloud ( Computer, ,Network & Storage ) experience.

  • Experience configuring Windows platforms

  • Good knowledge of monitoring tools.

  • Good communication and collaboration skills and an understanding of automation

  • The ability to be a team player
