Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Cloud Data Software Architect with a strong dedication to recent and upcoming technologies, and a proven track record in modern methodologies. This position is at the center of Data and Analytics initiatives. We are building a modern data platform to support enterprise data needs. We're looking for someone highly skilled, motivated, collaborative, and ready for a challenge.

What You Will Do:

As Architect of Data Engineering, you will play a key role in architecting data engineering solutions and technology to uncover deep insights from data using big data technologies and advanced statistical analysis, processing very large data sets using cloud-based data pipelines(real-time and batch) on Microsoft Azure, variety of analytic tools, visualizations and delivering actionable insights & solutions. You will also be assisting with integrating the SQL data warehouse platform as our primary processing platform to create the curated enterprise data model for the company to leverage.

  • Architects, develops, and implements Data Engineering strategy to support organizational initiatives.

  • Produce robust architecture and detailed designs for developing systems using Kafka, Snowflake, Apache Spark and Delta Lake on Microsoft Azure.

  • Collaborate with Data Engineering, Product, Infrastructure Operations and vendors

  • Ensuring data quality throughout all stages of acquisition and processing, including data collection, ground truth generation, normalization and transformation

  • Extracting and combining data from various heterogeneous data sources

  • Designing, implementing and supporting a platform that can provide ad-hoc access to large datasets

  • Modeling data and metadata to support machine learning and AI

  • Build statistical models, apply machine learning techniques, analyze very large data sets and construct metrics using these modeling techniques.

  • Guiding critical business decisions by highlighting opportunities, identifying correlations, defining experiments and figuring out cause and effect relationships.

  • Provide leadership to engineering teams.

  • Participate in project meetings, providing input to project plans and providing status updates.

  • Coach and mentor development team members on standards and best practices

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring:
  • B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years experience near real time streaming technologies and Big Data Analytics

  • 3+ years experience in Azure DevOps, Terraform, or GitHub

  • Experience with Big Data Technologies (NoSQL databases, Kafka and/or Confluent Kafka & Connectors, MongoDB, Spark, Databricks, and Geo Sharding)

  • Experience with real-time data processing and API platforms

  • Demonstrated ability in data modeling, ETL development, API developments and data warehousing

  • Experience designing, implementing, and integrating Secure RESTful APIs

  • Experience with industry monitoring and alerting tools and methodologies

  • Experience across the full application lifecycle from concept through retirement

  • Deep knowledge with Linux/UNIX or Windows, .NET stack (.NET Core, Docker, Kafka); Go, and Scala

  • Experience building/operating highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets

  • Experience in Kubernetes AKS Cloud Environments

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Possess excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills and be comfortable working with multiple stakeholders to understand and explain highly technical information in a clearly/concisely
