First Transit, as a third-party contractor to Lyft providing services for Lyft's Biketown program, is currently hiring for Drivers/Field Technicians. As a Driver you would be responsible for changing out bike batteries, picking up and redistributing bikes throughout the City of Portland and taking them in for maintenance.

You'll be responsible for:

• Ability to work various shifts, as assigned, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Safely transporting equipment in a safe, courteous, and reliable manner throughout the service area
• Deliver & pick up bikes, swap out batteries at different addresses throughout Portland
  
• Work alone or with other Street Team members under the guidance of the Shift Lead or General Manager
• Drive a large van to redistribute bikes as required based on real-time demand data
• Pick up and drop off broken bikes for in-shop repair

We want you to drive with us, if you:

• Professional experience driving trucks or large vans in city traffic.
  
• Knowledge of geography/street layout.
• Must be able to push, pull up to 75 pounds, with assistance of a ramp.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
• Basic computer skills
• Interpersonal skills - Maintain confidentiality, remain open to others' ideas and exhibit willingness to try new things.
• Adaptability - Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
• Are at least 21 years old
• Have held a valid driver's license for at least 3 years
