We seek a highly motivated and innovative scientist with a passion for applying biophysical techniques to drug discovery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in biochemical and biophysical research, including protein purification, functional assays, and structural studies on integral membrane proteins. The Research Scientist will work with a team of biochemists, biophysicists, and structural biologists to determine the target mechanism of action and ligand engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Purification of integral membrane proteins for use in biophysical and functional assays.
  • Optimize and carry out biophysical protein-ligand measurements
  • Conduct crystallization screenings and optimization of hits.
  • Participate in experimental design and independently conducts experiments
  • Maintain accurate records of experimental work and be able to organize, report and communicate their results.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Structural Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics or relevant field
  • Track record of protein purification of targets including membrane proteins using manual and automated chromatography systems.
  • Familiarity with techniques to study membrane proteins in the context of lipid membranes is desirable.
  • Use of biochemical techniques (e.g., SDS-PAGE, Western blot, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with SPR, DSF, ITC, MALS, and other biophysical techniques is desired.
  • Self-motivation, organization, effective communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to navigate a fast-paced work environment where collaboration is essential
