Job Description
Part-Time Accounting Assistant (33312)

Our client is growing and they are currently looking to add a Part-time Accounting Assistant to their team! This newly created role will assist with accounting and general office support. They are looking for someone that is eager to learn and enjoys a variety of responsibilities.  The company boasts a team-oriented culture and flexible schedule. 

The Accounting Assistant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The Accounting Assistant will perform accounts payable entry.
  • Deposit checks and process receipts.
  • Cut checks to vendors.
  • Process and issue client invoices.
  • Process monthly account reconciliations, along with monthly report preparation.
  • Calculate monthly sales and use tax and file report with the State.
  • Assist account executives and the Controller with creating purchasing orders and jobs.
  • Perform general office support including receptionist duties, sorting mail, and participating in planning employee relations events.
  • The Accounting Assistant will perform other duties as assigned.

The Accounting Assistant will possess the following:

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • The Accounting Assistant will have 2+ years of relevant accounting/finance experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • An Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent work experience will be considered.
