Position Overview:
Construct a prototype/sample garment using established production standards and requirements, assist Development team to provide a quality product for the consumer.
Job Responsibilities:
Sew complete prototype garments according to established standards for product team review and for production contractor’s reference
Resolve garment cutting, construction, and pattern issues with appropriate person
Sew specialty project garments, i.e. Photography looks, factory protos
Skills and Qualifications:
Working knowledge of garment industrial sewing equipment, i.e. single needle machine, overlock machine, button hole machine
Working knowledge of garment industrial pressing equipment, i.e. buck press, low boy irons
Knowledge of textiles and pattern making is helpful
Visual acuity at a high level to reflect measurement target within tolerance, match colors, thread needles, measure trims
Knowledge of garment construction
Work with various fabrications
Able to construct garment from specification sheet
Work well under pressure of seasonal deadlines
Interaction with Tech Designs and Developments
Verbal communication skills to resolve garment issues
